Reference logos:

These logos tend to use very few colours and some tend to use the colour gradient effect. Most of them are image based whereas the others include a letter with a twist and other adjustments to make them look different. These logos also have a minimalistic or flat design look to them and some of them tend to use a music note symbol for their logo. Also some of these logos are circle based and they all generally have rounded or curved edges and avoid any sharp corners in their designs.

From looking at these logos I would steal the circle based look and the flat design look with very few colours. I would maybe use the colour gradient effect for my logo it just depends if it looks good or not. I would avoid using lots of colours for my logo because I want to keep my logo simple.

Brainstorm:
Icons that relate to my app idea that I like are music note symbols, headphones and amplifiers.
Elements that I want in my app logo are small and simple colour scheme, to include an amplifier for the symbol.
